Engineering and Design

Both the US and China facilities have a full staff of design and application engineers who utilize the latest CAD and CAM 3D modeling systems to streamline the design process and expedite the product time to market.

Manufacturing in the United States

Methode Network Bus Products’ United States facility provides full service manufacturing capabilities for the global development of power distribution solutions. Automated powder coating lines provide a means of thermoset or thermoplastic electrical insulation for virtually any shape of bus bar. Bushings are fabricated in-house to reduce costs and improve cycle time. Lamination presses provide high levels of heat and pressure to produce multi-layer bus bars. Multiple computer controlled machining centers provide ample capacity and precision machining capabilities. CNC machinery provides machining, turning, and fabrication.


Manufacturing in Asia

Methode Network Bus Products – China is a full service manufacturing center with complete manufacturing capabilities, an experienced engineering team, and professional sales and application engineers – the sum of which provide advantages in lead time, cost, quality flexibility, and rapid prototyping. Manufacturing processes include conductor punching and bending, brazing, CNC machining, plating, powder coating, lamination, electrical testing, packing and shipping.

Testing

Methode Network Bus Products uses in-house, state-of-the-art coordinate measurement machines to provide precise measurements for tight tolerance applications. Laminated bus bars may be tested for partial discharge conditions. This inspection machine rapidly scans bus bars and compares the results to CAD files to ensure that the product meets specifications. Methode Network Bus Products’ inspection scanning equipment provides complete test capabilities to meet all electrical, mechanical, environmental, and safety standards. Complete, full-service testing and analysis is also available through Trace Laboratories, Inc.
